I had my son in January and the Depo injection in March. I decided to go on pill in may. had a pill period at end of May. After that I decided to give my body a chance to straighten out before taking more oral contraceptives but havent had a period since. I do occasionally have an egg-white style discharge which my GP says is ovulation but Im not sure. Im defo not pregnant (according to a home test and my GP urine test) but have had a constant period pain type ache and moodiness for last 2 months. any thoughts???

If you were ovulating then you would be having periods too. After ovulation progesterone is secreeted in high amounts and this causes the lining of the uterus to thicken. About 2 weeks after ovulation if you didn't get pg, the progesterone drops and the lining of the uterus is shed--your period.

It is very possible that the depo is still messing with your body. You should see your ob/gyn and discuss the problem. They will probably give you 3 months of oral birth control and see if your cycles resume after you stop taking the BC.

i deffintly wouldnt recommend the depo shot because i was on the depo shot 2 years ago and i still havent had a period since and its very depressing and moody because you just feel different i mean most girls wouldnt mind but to me its not natural so good luck with the decision you make also you might want to go see a doctor there is a chance you could have a urinary tract infection i did alot when i was on the depo hope this helped

depends if you are breastfeeding. If you are this can cause you to not have a period. Otherwise, sometimes we don't have a period when we don't ovulate, which is something that has been happening to a lot of women
