Everytime i do some washing,it just leaks water everywhere.I have tried replacing the washer that goes on the end of the pipe where its screwed in the outlet but when i turn it back on its all leaking out from the same place again. Its leaking from where you attach the hose to the cold tap that comes from the mains.Does anyone know if theres several types of Washing Machine washers or if theres something else wrong with it.I assume its the washer that doesnt fit in it properly but dont know. Can anyone help as i need to do my washing!!

Theres no crack in the plastic and it tightens well it just leaks from underneath the plastic like on a hose pipe.

Sounds like you might need some new hose washers. You may also have damaged threads on either the hose connections or on the hose bibb. Hoses have compression fittings, so to keep them from leaking, they need something (the hose washer) to compress. BTW, I highly recommend the hoses that have a braided metal covering -- they're less likely to blow out than plain rubber/vinyl hoses. They also make gadgets that will turn off the water if they sense a broken hose, or alarms that will ring if the alarm gets wet. All of them are good insurance against some really messy and expensive damage.

Try wrapping some PTFE tape round the screw thread of the water supply pipe before attaching the washing maching hose. Don't know what PTFE stands for but is is a very fine white plastic tape - non sticky. Should know at a plumbers store

Most consumers don't know this, but the hose is not built to last forever. Yes they are supposed to be replaced every 2-3 years, I think that is the recommended time frame. There is a toll free appliance parts hotline if you need to purchase some and they deliver right to your door. 1-800-352-9827

when the hose is made, they simply wedge the metal barrel onto the hose, sounds like the hose is leaking from the swivel [the part that rotates when you turn the threaded part, ] if so you will have to replace the hose, you can get a new one at any hardware, or appliance store,

Check to see if the washer is twisted or worn. If you have a hot feed swap them over. Also make sure that the thread is not twisted and that it screws on squarely to the inlet pipe.

Have you considered using plumber's tape? It's white and you probably got some last time you replaced your shower head to stop leaks. You did say it was being "screwed on" so usually that means using the white plumber's tape.

Make sure it is not the stem of the handle of the valve that is leaking because if it is, it can appear that the hose is leaking.

Sound like the plastic screw thingy that you screw on may be cracked!

you need to seal the threads of the screw part with some Teflon tape. you can get it from the hardware store or department and its about a dollar or less.
