Hi, I am 32 weeks pregnant with my 4th child and i'm having severe pain in my pelvic area. It is so bad that I scream and cry when I try to roll over at night, it also hurts when i'm up trying to walk around but not as bad. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the doctors can do? thanks angel

And the reason you haven't called your OB/GYN is...? You're asking this on Yahoo. You must be one heck of a mom...

Dear Angel,

With my third child I had this same problem. In the last trimester, I had severe pains in my pelvic area and my doctor said that it was just my hips moving for the birth of the child. This, I knew was not the problem. I had had two children already and this had never happened before.

I had a friend of mine who recommended a chiropractor. Chiropractor??? Come to find out, it was my sciatic nerves, going down into my legs. They were being pinched off. It would cause severe burning and pain in my pelvic area and when I would try to move in the least way, it was excruciating! Walking, did however, attempt to relieve some of the pain.

A chiropractor is wonderful to have during pregnancy. They can easily help with your problem and correct it so that you can have peace until you deliver!

My doctor tried to give me meds for the pain!? I opted for natural treatment that would not have the possibility of harming my child. So glad I did!

Chiropractors are inexpensive and great at what they do! You'll only need a few visits and you can pay by the visit! Pain is now gone and you can focus on your new addition to the family!

Enjoy your beautiful family!

At 32 weeks is about when that started for me. While you're waiting for your doctor to get back from lunch, I'll just say it sounds like the pelvic floor is starting to shift, stretch, move and all that! This being your 4th child, you may not make it to 40 weeks. The more you have, I learned in birthing class, the less likely you'll have an overdue baby. I am 39 weeks today! I still have that movement, but now it is accompanied by my hip bones shifting. Try getting on all fours on the floor and shifting you hips. It's not fun, but you may work the kinks out. It helped me some. I'm sorry, but the pain is worth it....baby will be here so soon!

This is in response to Skaizun:
IT is very rude of you to assume that you know everything. She has a legitimate worry, but because her condition is "normal" to pregnancy, the hospital will just send her home. Pregnancy is not only uncomfortable....it can be very painful as well (not just the labor). How dare you call her phony! She just needs some encouragement, so if you can't do that don't answer. BTW don't ever tell someone to get their tubes tied...unless you have an 8lb baby sitting on YOUR uterus...don't judge. I think seeking out answers for encouragement is great...I'd rather see her reproduce than you!

Sounds like my problem! First of all it depends on how far along she is. If she's only a few weeks this isnt normal. But in a case like mine at about 33 weeks I started having really bad pelvic pain like a grinding on my bones type of feeling every time I walked, changed positions, etc. This is just because my baby's head was really low in my pelvis. This is what my doc told me tell her not to worry it just gets worse! Sorry.

I had that, towards the end of my pregnancy to. I believe it is because of two reasons, the baby has dropped and the position they are in. I found that, holding the area with my hand when walking etc...helped a little, I had it more when I was standing but not so much laying down. It really just sounds like you have a baby that is eager to come out, and perhaps you are further along then you had anticipated!

Sounds like you have some severe sciatic pain. Or, since this is your 4th, it could be that a tendon in your pelvis in pinched, but iam going to bet its more nerve pain than not.

THey can give you pain medication, but honestly, the only thing that helps is weightlessness, and the baby moving to a new spot. Go swimming.

I know most of these "help, I'm in serious pain" questions are phony, but I can't help but wonder: if they're truly real, how is it that the "victim" is able to spend time on a computer instead of rushing to a hospital? And, if they're not real, please, stop being a "pain" to the rest of us!!!

And where's your husband or boyfriend, or your friends or family, during this alleged time of need???

P.S. At the risk of seeming even more cynical: get your tubes tied!!!

This is NOT a flame, but an INCREDIBLE simulation!
