I've been offered Adrian Peterson for Clinton Portis. I know Peterson is untested and the Vikes have a good RB already in Chester Taylor. But Portis is on a TERRIBLE Washington team with no real QB. What should I do?

If this is your RB2 I would go for the trade.
Portis is already showing health problems (knee, shoulder) and it won't get better once the season goes on. Peterson looked really good (yes, in preseason) but you should check out the youtube footage of his last game.

I don't think you should do that deal. Portis is a guy who could have a huge year this year. They are saying that his injuries are not serious and that if these games were regular season games he would be playing. You also have to take into account that Ladell Betts, and the other Skins RB's have not looked good at all during the preseason so far. Peterson is very talented, but he will be splitting carries with Chester Taylor. Peterson has a lot of upside, but also comes with lot's of if's also.

At this point, I'd take the trade. Portis's chances of finishing the season healthy is like 4%. Peterson has been very impressive in preseason and should get goal line carries over Taylor. Both running backs split carries (don't forget that Betts will be a big contributor) and both Portis and Peterson should get goal line carries.

Before making your decision, watch what Peterson did against the Jets -

I'd take the trade.

dont trade!!! If u need another RB go look in free agency and you could definetly get better value for portis. FYI Washington is ok not terrible (plus the skins got good o-line, but just bad D other than the secondary)

well this is a gutsy trade. if portis stays healthy something which is rare for him to do than he should have a very good year. but if not, its a good deal. so it depends if u want to take a risk. peterson should do well this year, n if portis stays healthy he should do good, so it is a tricky one.

Tough call. If Portis is healthy I say no, but if he is going to split carries with Betts then you might as well make the deal.

Well as much as I would like to say yes my BRAIN says NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason being is that Adrian is the incoming rookie, Clinton is the starting MAN!!!!
UNLESS you are in a keeper league than take Adrian, but understand that this year he might not be that good, so get another player in the trade.
