No, I do not. What would happen if the husband happens to be abusive or a drug addict? What if he continually cheated on his wife? What if his whole purpose in being married to his wife was to take advantage if her family for financial gain? Should a woman be trapped with a man like that because her husband refuses to give her a divorce? Not every man in the world is good. There are some who are really evil.....

No i don't, especially if the husband is controlling and abusive. abusers never want their victims to leave, because whilst their victims are still around, they are feeding the abusers illness.i dont think a woman should have to prove abuse either, if she wants out, she wants out.

In a word, no. I also don't think a woman should need her husband's permission to draw her pension however she chooses!

No. That would make all sorts of problems if she was in an abusive relationship and wanted to get out of it, but her husband wouldn't let her go.

sometimes marriages end up abusive and a woman should be able to get away from that.

that would defeat the purpose of spouses leaving one another, because one of them would be controlling another.
