My daughter actually had the very same thing. Her baby, my grandson, is now 4 months old. But, when she was about as far along as you, she called me with worry over the same problems. She called her doctor, they had her come in, everything was checked out, but she was fine. Her doctor said it is actually pretty common for pregnant women to experience this faint feeling with nausea and hotness. She explained it by saying that your body goes through a lot of changes while pregnant and sometimes your body has outward symptoms of inward changes. While it is possible the same symptoms can relate to a blood sugar disorder, it is not necessarily the reason for the symptoms. I had Gestational Diabetes with my 4th child and never experienced any of these symptoms. Try drinking an 8 ounce glass of skim milk. See if that doesn't make you feel a little better. If it does, than it may be a little low blood sugar. If you don't feel better in 15-30 minutes, by all means call your doctor. If you do feel better and it doesn't happen again, just mention the episode to your doctor at your next appointment. Especially since you are at risk for GD, I suggest you eat several small mini-meals throughout the day in an effort to keep your carbohydrate intake consistent. If your problem is blood sugar, this will help a great deal and will be the way you'll need to eat if you do develop GD.

Every doctor has his or her little routine. I know that if mine doesn't call me during his lunch break (between 1230 and 2pm) then I'm looking at the end of the day (between 530 and 630). If I were you, I would give it through the lunch hour. If she hasn't called by 2pm, she's probably busy. It sucks though because there's no exact science and Murphy's Law says that the minute you walk out the door, she'll call you. What I've done in the past is asked the nurse to be a liaison. You could call the nurse back and explain you won't be near a phone and would she mind grabbing the doctor in between the next appointments and speaking on your behalf--you and your doctor could communicate through her, if she's willing. The other thing is... are the things you have to do today that important? Can they wait until tomorrow? Good luck.

I can't tell you what to do-but better safe then sorry. Just calling the doctor office can help you make the best decisions for you and the baby. However, what you are explaining sounds like a common feeling during pregnancy. At least for me and my sister in law-just another joy of hormones during pregnancy.

Call your doctor. Let him know you have resources there at the office that can test your blood sugar. ESPECIALLY if you are high risk.
Waiting and letting your sugar levels be off can be extremely dangerous to you and the baby. Call your doctor NOW!

Those are symptoms of the gestational diabetes. I wouldnt wait, becasue it could make things worse, If I were you, i would go in just to be sure. People do get weak and faint thru pregnancy but if its real seriuos, I would go in.

Its normal to feel faint while pregnant, especially in the AM or when you've been on your feet a lot.
however, if you're at risk or GD go get checked, it will make you feel better, and rule out anything dangerous.

drink a half glass of juice and see if you feel better. if you do, you can wait and bring it up at the next appointment. if you don't, call and talk to someone at the doctor's office. even for diabetics it is better to snack all day (on healthy snacks) than to eat big meals. try spreading out your calorie intake throughout the day.

Are you taking your blood pressure while you feel like that? Cause I thought I was having blood sugar problems and my mom let me have her old meter and it was fine. Then I started to test my blood pressure when I felt like that and it was really low. My midwife said it was normal when you have to stand alot.

Call your dr. and tell them whats going on. They may tell you to try and eat some different things or they may want you to come in but you do need to call them. When it comes to you and your babies health don't take that lightly. Hope you get to feeling better!!!
