the Red Sox have a really good chance. this is one of their best teams in a while. I think the team that they have this year could probably beat their 2004 world series team. it seems like they have alstars at every postion, with the exeption of JD drew. To go laong with their monsterous hitting, their pitching has been decent all year long. i wouldnt be suprised if the red sox took it all home to the great city of boston.

Of course, watch out for Yankees to caught up Red Sox. Yankees will have the greatest comeback next month as Red Sox need to gains more wins as can alive to win the division title. Let's see who going to the playoff by end of September.

My pick at the start of the season was the Tigers to win the AL pennant, but it is wide open at this point. Boston has not been playing well, though the Yankees cannot keep this torid pace up. Any of the contenders for playoff births have enough to make a run come playoff time.

Definitely! They have a really good chance to win the World Series! Josh Beckett is awesome and Coco is really really good. Dustin Pedroia makes the infield fantastic and Jason Varitek is best catcher ever and keeps the team together. JD Drew & Eric Gagne on the other hand...

It will not be that much of a surprise though.
After all, in 2006 they were not even a playoff team! They suck!
In all sincerity though, I hope they at least make the playoffs this year. Yankees v.s. Redsux is always better then the World Series anyway!

I think they will - they have led the division most of the season and will do deep into the playoffs due to the quality of the players on the team.
