The Serbian tennis players have earned my respect. Not only are they talented tennis players, they seem like class acts. (Nole's hilarious impersonations of fellow tennis players endeared him to many people and the women players come off as very nice young ladies -- ones whom you'd want your daughter to befriend or your son to date.) Their great tennis skills and results speak for themselves.

Perhaps it was the Yugoslavian war that made them work that much harder to succeed? (Many war survivors, haunted by it, are driven that much harder to succeed and make the best of their lives.)

It's wonderful that they're a part of the tour and I hope they play well for many years to come.

Good to see them coming up and they need to win Grand
Slams. Djokovic became the 1st player since 1989 beating
top 3 seeds of an ATP tournament to win the title. He was
awesome. In that tournament (Rogers Cup in Montreal) he
beat Roddick(#3) in QF, then Nadal(#2) in SF and finally
Roger(#1).

I do not know why, for some reason, Roger Federer seems
like not crediting Djokovic and he mentions that he was not
impressed with Djokovic and media has hyped him. But he
proved him wrong by beating him in 3 sets.

I am hoping that Djokovic has a better chance of winning
this years US Open, than Nadal and Roger.

That shows that Slavic people (inculdes Russians, Serbs, Croats,...) are really good athletes. Just see how many representatives of these nations are in the top 100, in both ATP & WTA Lists! I can't even count...:) Serbs were put trough some miseries, but show to all others that they are fighters and don't give their dreams up easily. Of course, these 3 people put a lot of effort and spend a lot of money (Ivanovic even had to find a sponsor in Switzerland, luckily), and all that is now paying off.

Wait a sec...that's all Serbia! Not Montenegro. But all of us r really good. Just look at Russia. It has fantastic players. Slavic people didn't really have a noticed spot in sports...and now it's finally paying off.

I'm from Serbia... and I must say that we are very proud of them :)
they work hard, they are talented, and it has nothing to do with whether they are from Serbia or any other place...
