When you were a child how often were you spanked or slapped?

How will that affect you as a parent?

I was slapped a lot until age 7 and it made me less likely to hit my kid. On the rare occasion when I did slap her I always felt bad

I've only been spanked since I grew up....lol
Seriously I don't remember being slapped at all,but I was spanked very little.

Spanked with a belt or hand on my
naked behind until the age of 12
had to get the strap-belt as well
Then just slapped in the face until I was 15

I've never spanked my kids
and if they get a minor swat on the butt
I fell like **** for a long while
I find that time out with consequences to
fit the action are more effective then any
beating I ever got
I have never ever slapped anyone, kid or otherwise in the face

I was never slapped as a kid. I was, however, spanked at least once a day. Truth be told, I probably needed it. I got into trouble a lot as a child.

I was an angel. I can only remember being spanked once or twice. I've felt bad spanking my kids, but didn't do it often.

Never was slapped.
Was spanked a few times. Basically "goody-2-shoes".

We also learned that Mom didn't want to spank us. "Wait till your father gets home!" So we'd wait outside for him to come home from work. Gave him big hugs. Didn't get spanked.

As often as I needed it.
I wouldn't slap my kid, but I would spank them if they needed it. Not that I would want to.

i was often slapped or spanked as a young kid..and it also made me NEVER want to do it to my kids..i believe there are better ways of punishment!!

Very little spankings.... several slaps in my teen years.. LOL
