From an outsiders point of view, it used to be viewed as a free place where you could do what you wanted(within the law and maybe just a little outside it - nothing that bad). Now it seems to have fallen into a hole where you have to believe such a thing and if you don't you get a load of people argue the point across such as, "I'm right and your wrong and thats that, if you don't believe what I believe your stupid" (I have heard worse).
