Going by the ones you have listed as liking and factoring in you wanting to watch on DVD I'd highly recommend Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. They are both intriguing, have fast paced story lines that don't drag out for ever, and quick-witted, and humorous (Veronica also has a darker theme running thru it that is balanced by the humorous quick-wit of the the characters).

a couple of dvd tv shows i've seen that were awesome are big love from HBo and weeds from showtime. once you start watching these you'll get hooked
