I love the British Invasion, and some of the American stuff.

My favorite band of the 60's would have to be the Beatles. They were innovative, experimented with many genres, changed rock by influencing so many bands, and they had nice, simply melodies with good lyrics. It's comforting to listen to them.

My favorite song of the 60's probably has to be "Purple Haze" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Jimi Hendrix really shows how good he is in the song. Either that of "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones. Keith Richards is a master at riffs, and I like how Mick Jagger sings that one.

I'm a really big Beatles fan. I know I'm not breaking any ground here, but I'd have to go with them.

As for the song, I would have to go with If I Fell at this very moment. I have about 15 Beatles songs (Tomorrow Never Knows, A Day In The Life, I Am The Walrus, We Can Work It Out, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here There and Everywhere, to name a few)that seem to revolve depending on my mood. That harmony with the "I couldn't stand the pain" just gets me every time. They were so ridiculously good at harmonies, amongst everything else they were great at. Best band of all time.

Jimi Hendrix Experience. Jimi just flys with that guitar.
My favorite song of the 60's is Sunshine of Your Love by Cream. Great solo in that song, plus that instantly recognizable riff.

Love the early Rolling Stones; great music.

My favorite song from that decade would probably be "Eleanor Rigby", by the Beatles; such a profoundly beautiful and haunting melody.
