Neither Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo should be in the GOAT discussion. There are far better players than them. Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckenbauer, Baresi, Maldini, Pele, Maradona. Messi just might be the best of his generation right now, and even that's still debatable. By the way, Cristiano ronaldo is considered on of the greatest Manchester united players ever, so don't say that he wasn't the main man in 2008. Anyways, People too often like to hop on the bandwagons. Two seasons ago, no one really cared about RVP. All of a sudden, he's this Arsenal "legend". Last season, Messi scored in the first-leg of the champions league semi-final against a 10 man Madrid and people considered it the greatest goal of all-time. These two players frankily don't have the class to be ranked amongst the best of all-time. The players I mentioned before just had something about them ; class. When I watched them play (Excluding Pele and Beckenbauer) I was in awe. They had class of and on the pitch, and shined when football was really at it's best. Messi and Cristiano are definetly good, but they play in what I consider to be a watered-down version of soccer. In today's age, it's almost impossible to be a defender.

If you go to a chiropractor you are a sucker. Believe me , I know. Probably not what you are looking for, but I'm not a big fan of chiropractors. Sorry
