It seems better than they Conservative point of view, because it has less limits on personal freedom, and better than the Liberal for the same reason, but still have Liberal ideals. what are the basic ideals of the party, and who is running for president?

The Libertarian idea is that the government should stick to it's primary functions laid out by the Constitution. It seems liberal in some aspects, but really is neither liberal or conservative - it just doesn't believe that many issues are issues of the Federal government at all. You should check out http://www.lp.org/issues/issues.shtml. They do a good job of outlining Libertarian beliefs.

Unlike the two major parties, you won't know who their candidate is until after the Libertarian National Convention. But that website should give you an overview of who is in the running.

Neo-conservatives have destroyed the word conservative
Neo-liberals have destroyed the word liberal
There may be neo-libertarians doing the same.
I like Cato Crafts definition of libertarians (with a small l):

Minimum Possible Government
Maximum Personal Freedom (that doesn’t infringe on another’s equal freedom)
No Use of Force in the Pursuit of Political or Social Ends
Free and Open Markets
