It sounds like our tomatoes are suffering from wilt. I am sorry, but there is nothing you can do for them, they are doomed.

There are two main kinds of wilt, Fusarium Wilt or Verticillium Wilt. It is a disease that slowly attacks the plant and keeps them from drawing water up the stem. It makes them look like they need water. Believe it or not, watering actually aggravates the problem.

The wilt probably can home with them from the store you bought t at. It is commonly spread through nurseries due to the way the plants are watered.

Do not plant tomatoes or tomato relatives there next year. They will also get infected.

You can still harvest the tomatoes off the plant, the wilt will not hurt you. If they are still green place them in a paper bag to encourage ripening.

Don't fertilize now; it's too hot. Have you been getting water on the leaves? During hot weather, that can burn them. Your watering schedule seems to be about right. If the tomatoes look good... no cracks or rotting stems.. don't worry. They will probably start to blush in a week or so. Remember that you can take them off the vine when they start to blush and let them ripen naturally. I usually do this so the birds don't get to them.

They may be low in iron, or the temperatures have not been hot enough.

Give them some fish emulsion, trim off the yellow leaves and give them a few more weeks. If they are heirloom tomatoes, you'll be harvesting them in the fall...
