I have the first pick in the draft for a 8 team league. I'm thinking of trading the #1 pick for someone elses position and their second round pick.

Let's say that I make this trade and switch places with the person position at the last (8th) pick, I would get:
Pick# 8, Pick #9, Pick #16, Pick #24, Pick #25
They would get:
Pick#1, Pick #17, Pick #32, Pick #33

To even things out, they would get my very last pick. Essentially, I would get an additional top 20 player in exchange for LT. Thoughts?

I love trading picks and it normally is a good idea of getting more quality guys and less risky guys at the top (there is tons of risk going in the first round this year)...but if you have the chance to get Tomlinson, you CANNOT trade down with that pick. I don't know how long you have played fantasy football, but let me tell you that LT is the only sure thing in this years draft. Picking LT means you will be in the top 4, no matter what.

Sit there and be happy with LT and don't do something that you will regret later (giving up your second round pick is dumb too).

4 top 25 picks versus 2. I think this is a close call. Very close call. You have to look at who you can likely grab at each position and extrapolate.

LT will get around 360 fantasy points.

With the 8th and 9th picks you can expect to get rb's who get around 210 fantasy points. For a total of 420 points.

With the 16th pick you are able to get a stud WR along the lines of TO, Marvin Harrison, or Torry Holt. OR a stud QB like Carson Palmer or Drew Brees. A WR in this spot should be expected to get around 185 fantasy points. The one problem is you get LT at #1 then you do not get to draft again till 17, you will have a hard time getting a good #2 rb. I think you have a little more upside with the more top players, because you have more opportunity for big weeks from each player.

I think the two top 10 picks are a little bit better than LT, but not by much.

I think the trade is a gamble. A gamble that has +Expected Value, but still a gamble nonetheless. I would have a hard time trading LT, even though I think the top two are a little bit better.

Don't do it. It does no good to have extra players when you can only start 2. At least with LT, you have a stud starting every week. If you have 3 or 4 similar RB's, then you run the risk of having a headache every week on who you should start. LT is guaranteed points and can make up if you have an awful 2nd RB.

In an 8 league draft you could possibly end up with an unbeatable team. On the other hand the same can be said with the guy that has LT now; even with picks 17, 32 and 33. I've found there are a lot of quality players still left on the board in the later rounds in smaller leagues.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it.

In an 8 team league? I would stay with LT. There will still be plenty of talent when your turn comes around again.

Stick with LT. If you want to trade L.T do it after the draft is over. Pick him and then deal him for a good RB, WR, and QB. (If u dont want him) I WOULD NOT TRADE HIM

Not sure about this trade because you could get Rudi Johnson at 8 then Bush at 9 and then you can get A wide reciever at 16 or Manning and then at 24 you can get Bulger, Palmer, Jacobs, Brady. At 24 Chad Johnson, TO, Randy Moss whatever its pretty good for you.

in case you anticipate this league to play for some years, you mustn't take this deal considering the fact which you will not have LT sooner or later (who will nonetheless be a impressive 5 working decrease back for a minimum of the subsequent 5 years). Smith and Harrison are great extensive recievers, yet they are impressive 20 gamers and are not as stable as a high quality working decrease back. i do in comparison to this commerce because of the fact it incredibly is predraft and it does not assist you maintain absolutely everyone else on your roster (do you have a miles better RB or QB it is larger than Barber?). in case you like the commerce and opt to do it, right this is my sugestion: you may make him wait till after the draft and commerce LT for S. Smith, Harrison, and his first p.c.. (tell him who you opt for). meaning, you may shop LT and a pair of of your terrific gamers (I sugest your #2 RB and your #a million WR) and then after the draft get Harrison, Smith, and his 4th around participant (like Deuce McAlister or Ahmad eco-friendly) and your 4th around p.c.. (QB-counting on what you preserve and what's accessible). To make it slightly greater hassle-free: you get 6 gamers of impressive 4 around high quality...Harrison, Smith, his fourth around working decrease back-McAlister, your #2 RB, your #a million extensive reciever, and your fouth around quaterback-Bulger...you will be able to desire to push for M. Barber as properly (replaced into he going to supply you 2 first around possibilities?). this ingredients 2 working backs, 3 recievers, and a million quarterback in the 1st 4 rounds, which helps you to p.c.. tide ends, defenses and backups swifter than human beings. i in my view could shop LT. i don't comprehend who else you have on your group which you may shop (meaning it incredibly is larger to commerce in case you have not have been given anybody else). I first theory this could be a great commerce, yet then found out that 2 1st around possibilities ability 2 4th around possibilities after the keepers are taken. you does not get an elite working decrease back, which makes paying for and advertising LT incredibly stupid.
