What has changed a lot since the last Decade would be, the Manners some people have lost, some of them do not care how they talk, and they use foul language for everything. I remember when I was young, Men in particular would not use Bad words when there was a Woman present, now, they could care less, some couples do not care if their mates are having sex with every Tom, Dick, or Harry, as they say. No Morals anymore. There is a lot of Violence everywhere, and that Unity and confidence we had with our Neighbors, is gone, Nowadays you do not know who your neighbors are. I could go on and on, with this subject, no wonder some people are afraid if we are nearing to the last days on earth.

WOW...There is so much! Besides Communication, Television and Vehicles I would like to focus on People.
What has happened to Manners and Family Values? I can remember the days when so many would whistle in the streets.....Family Dinners and The Pledge Of Allegiance every morning in School.
Now, So many times people are in a hurry...there is not enough time to accomplish daily To-Do-Lists. The majority of families eat separated...The Kids are in front of the TV, Dad eats in the office and Mom eats when she can. In addition, the majority of Schools have banned The Pledge Of Allegiance.......I'm so thankful I was raised in a Family that still thrives on The Good Old Days!

People's attitude and respect for each other. We have on the whole become less tolerant and this is not a good thing.
On the other hand the way that the internet has opened up and allows people from around the globe a chance to know each other first hand is a good thing and might reverse the lack of tolerance.

The BBC closedown where the presenter would talk to us in a soothing voice and wish us a safe and peaceful night followed by the national anthem. Oh ... i do miss that
And i agree with chris amethyst - we've so many channels now but of tat quality, full of people who have no charisma wanting to be stars. No sitcoms but the crap "my family" because PC has drained the humour of the nation and censored good comedy.

There is nothing on television anymore except reality tv, and gameshows. What happened to sitcoms and dramas. I miss good quality tv.
There is no good music. I have completely stopped listening to the radio and I am forced to search for good music on my own.
The media is obsessed with adolescent celebrity screw-ups instead of important things like the world and the rest of humanity.
Bob barker will no longer host the Price is Right!!
Its a drastic change.

Well, I am just over two decades old so I might not be the best to answer this one. I would have to say the government and gas prices! Neither one of them is getting any better! :)

The internet is the biggest change! The ability to access so much information instantly . . . people just couldn't do it and even the information they could retrieve meant a trip to the library and poring over dusty outdated books . . . the instant communications of email and instant messaging . . . . that's the biggest change in my opinion.
But there have been lots of others: PCs -- just the ability to word process instead of typing things over again -- answering machines, VCRs/DVDs, cable television, cell phones . . . .
