Yes I would, and Im an American too! I've been checking this website out

and it pretty much sets it straight. It's safe, you're with a group and you have pre-paid for everything, and DPRK has started to allow US visitors in to see the Mass Games. I'm thinking about going a year from now.

Journalists and Photographers are not granted tourist visas.

Basically, I'm a culture junkie, I like observing people in other countries and seeing how they live. I'm working on a Master's in International Development so I think a trip here would be fascinating.

I'm not sure if they allow tourists to go there...I'm South korean and I know that North Korea doesnt even allow South koreans to go there unless they have this special permission...North Korea has gates all over the border and the president dont let the North koreans go out of North Korea...North Koreans live in poverty mostly and it would be sad to go there and see them suffer.....

Yes I would like to.

I am Chinese ,my parents have been there for travelling.
They told me N.korea was not so horrible as it is described in western media.Their citizens are very optimistic and they are NOT starving.

Technically,N.korea is the only pure communist country in the world.Personality cult is common there.That's pretty much like China in the 1960~1970.I guess it would be very interesting.

yes I would. you have to go through china to get there. but it is really interesting I have read things from other people who have gone, it seems crazy. just really like frozen in time, and very controlled.
