For starters by not believing that you "always seem to be doomed with bad luck".

We create our reality by the thoughts in our minds so the next time you say or think something negative about your situation, turn it around and think, "I am blessed with opportunities and I make good decisions".

You're expecting bad luck, so you are looking 'out' for it. This in turn causes you to think in terms of bad luck: you define events in the context of bad luck.

Start with what Say_say_tey suggested, and then adding, "I spilled my coffee..how silly/clumsy. I stubbed my toe, ouch!"

Instead of defining negative things as bad luck, define them as a learning tool or an occasion to laugh at life.

If you think you are doomed to bad luck, then you are. It`s your thinking that makes it so. What that means is that there is no such thing as luck, good or bad. We create our own realities, every single microscopic bit. Focus on what you prefer and change your patterns.

Think positive and don't expect too much. That way you won't feel disheartened or unlucky. Have a positive mental attitude and try and see the good in things. Trouble comes to those who need it, luck to those who believe it.

Stop thinking in negative terms. If your attempting to achieve something but have continuing doubts, negative luck is the result. Even if you try to think positive but get a bad result, you're not trying. Rid your mind of doubt and soon things will change.

Start thinking positively. People who are depressed or surround themselves with other negative people seem to suffer more bad luck than positive people.
