My favorites are:
Star Wars 5-The Empire Strikes Back
Again, the bad guys won, total coolness! The Hoth battle was amazing, plus, this is where we get to see JUST HOW FUTILE the rebellion really is...as soon as they hear the Empire even MIGHT know where they are, they start packing, because they KNOW they will be destroyed!!!
Star Wars 3-Revenge Of The Sith
I loved how Palpatine went through the whole "mindscrew" with Anakin and how he fell.
Star Wars 6-Return Of The Jedi
Loved the Speeder Bike chases, plus in 83 I was 9 & really starting to understand characters in movies, and Leia looked GREAT in the slavegirl outfit.
Star Wars 2-Attack Of The Clones
Awesome battle scenes, build well on the politics of the overall story. Loved the look on Anakins face before he killed the sandpeople! Verydark.
Star Wars 4-A New Hope
Wasn't the first I saw, but still loved it!
Star Wars 1-The Phantom Menace
Now I know Jar Jar sucked but still, except that it was Star Wars, this was a good movie

1: Star Wars 5 - The Empire Strikes Back
2: Star Wars 4 - A New Hope
3: Star Wars 6 - Return of the Jedi
4: Star Wars 3 - Revenge of The Sith
5: Star Wars 1 - The Phantom Menace
6: Star Wars 2 - Attack of the Clones
It's hard to not just say Jar Jar sucked. I am not a fan of all the cgi crap. Nothing is real anymore. Everything is computer generated. And any scene with Jar Jar in it was annoying as hell.

Here are mine, in order from most favorite to least:
1. The Empire Strikes Back -- The characters were all developed a little further, the plot twist that made everyone gasp, the classic line from Han Solo that made everyone laugh when Leia tells him the truth about her feelings for him, the special effects were a huge jump from the first movie, and it was a great dark second act (but not TOO dark). It's the first time I ever liked a sequel better than the first movie.
2. A New Hope -- Lucas did a great job of coming up with a good story, characters that were believable (and that you cared about), and it was groundbreaking in terms of the special effects. The only reason it takes a backseat to "The Empire Strikes Back" is the fact that the storyline was right out of a classic good-versus-evil script formula. P.S.: Who's idea was it to screw up the cantina scene with Han and Greedo? The whole scene makes no sense without Han shooting Greedo first.
3. Return of the Jedi -- The middle-trilogy was wrapped up pretty nicely, plus the advances of the special effects again. Not as good as the first two because the Ewoks were not very believable and it had the Hollywood-formula happy ending -- it would have been more interesting and more realistic if one of the main characters had died.
4. Attack of the Clones -- The original Star Wars trilogy beats the the back-story about Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in every way except special effects, and even then the special effects couldn't save the new trilogy. The middle installment is the best of the three because we start to see Anakin walking down the path to darkness, we see Obi-Wan trying to keep him focused on what really matters, we start to see how this ruse involving the Trade Federation was crafted, we start to see Anakin and Padme Amidala growing closer together (even though the romantic scenes between them left a lot to be desired), and we see the baddest Jedi ever to wield a light saber -- yes, of Yoda I speak -- in an awesome duel with a very-well chosen Christopher Lee playing Count Dooku. Too bad Lucas chose a guy to play the young adult Anakin who couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. There is a reason Hayden Christenson is a two-time "Razzies" winner, and it's his performance as Anakin.
5. Revenge of the Sith -- Very disappointing. When did the brave and resourceful Padme Amidala turn into a crying wuss? And what's with this fixation involving chopping the hands off Jedi and Sith? And you mean to tell me that Anakin/Darth Vader would simply believe The Emperor at the end? Come on. I also found it very hard to swallow that so many Jedi would be caught completely off-guard when The Emperor ordered his master plan to be executed. The only good parts involved Anakin wavering back and forth between The Emperor and the Jedi Council, especially when Mace Windu decided he should be judge, jury and executioner with The Emperor (I could easily see how Anakin would view Mace as a hypocrite under the circumstances).
6. The Phantom Menace -- I knew from the first line that this one was going to be a stinker. Lucas has really over-used that "I've got a bad feeling about this." Qui-Gon Jinn was never fully developed as a character, Jar-Jar Binks was just way too far out there (there's no way he would have been THAT lucky with his clumsiness during the droid battle on Naboo), Jake Lloyd made for a lousy young Anakin (either of the other finalists they showed on the "making of" reel would have been better than Lloyd), and the dialogue was just plain garbage. "The Trade Federation has gone too far this time..." or "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi; at last we will have our revenge." Could it BE just a little more cliche? Please. What's REALLY disappointing is Lucas wrote and directed this first installment. It did not bode well for the rest of the trilogy, and it shows that Lucas really has lost his touch.

Star Wars 3-Revenge of The Sith
Star Wars 2-Attack of The Clones
Star Wars 6-Return of The Jedi
Star Wars 5-The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars 1-The Phantom Menace
Star Wars 4-A New Hope
LOL so really the newest ones I liked a lot. My favorite scene in particular is the battle between Obi Wan and Anakin and the unveiling of Darth Vader. I loved the idea in these movies of the force. Like magic, but believable in that world.
The movie had a great story, so my complaint would probably make the movie worse.
I wanted more action in the old ones.

Empire - The all time classic. Sure, there was more to follow, but who doesn't want to see the bad guys win for a change. The battle of Hoth, Darth is Luke's father, classic.
A New Hope - The film that started it all. Obi Won, the Death Star trench run, awesome flick.
Jedi - What can I say, I'm a sucker for the classics. The battle of Endor, Jabba the Hut, the final showdown between Luke and Vader. Vader kills the Emperor. The end of the Empire.
Phantom Menace - After growing up loving Star Wars, when I first heard that music playing in the theatre and the text started scrolling, I got chills. Qui Gon vs Darth Maul and the pod races. Overall, a pretty good flick, but yes, Jar Jar sucks.
Revenge of the Sith - Great special effects... That's about all I can muster. General Grievious was kinda cool and we see the creation of Vader.
Attack of the Clones - Abyssmal. Hayden Christiansan is one of the worst actors of this generation. The dialogue in the love scenes makes me want to wretch. The plot was terrible. The ONLY redeeming quality was seeing Yoda wield a lightsaber for the first time.

My ranking ...
1) Revenge of the Sith - Best storytelling; the one that ties the whole story together.
2) A New Hope - As the original, it's **almost** unbeatable.
3) Return of the Jedi - End of the story, the good guys win; plus I'm a lightsaber-duel junkie.
4) The Empire Strikes Back - Bad guys win, so I didn't enjoy it as much. Also suffers from being the middle chapter of a trilogy.
5) The Phantom Menace - Had its cool moments like the duel with Darth Maul, but didn't live up to the hype. The acting from Jake Lloyd and Natalie Portman wasn't that great, and yes, Jar Jar was just plain obnoxious.
6) Attack of the Clones - Suffered even more from wooden acting, this time with Portman and Christensen responsible for it. Also suffered from middle-chapter-in-a-trilogy syndrome, similarly to Empire.

Episode 5-The Empire Strikes Back
Han and Leia! Plus,I loved the costumes, there was Yoda(!) and the
Cloud City was awesome!(It kind of reminded me of Kamino).
Episode 4-A New Hope
That was the first Star Wars movie I saw (and no,it wasn't in 1977),and at first I thought I didn't like it but it really grew on me. The arguments between Princess Leia and Han Solo are hilarious!
Episode 6-Return Of The Jedi
Ewoks! I love the Ewoks.Plus the fight scene out in the desert was great.
Episode 1-The Phantom Menace
I know most people think that this movie sucks, mostly because of Jar Jar(I didn't think he was that bad),but I liked it.This was the first movie were I actually thought that Obi-Wan was cool
Episode 2-Attack Of The Clones
Kamino!I love the way they designed that place!Plus, the fight scenes on Kamino and Geonosis were REALLY cool.
Episode 3-Revenge Of The Sith
I didn't like this one as much(even though it had Wookiees). It was rather gory and really sad.Plus,I didn't think most of the acting was that good (well Obi-Wan was good but....).The computer animation was really good, though.(Especially the volcano planet,Mustafar; and the space fight over Coruscant in the beginning.)

Star Wars Episode 3-Revenge of The Sith
(Darth Vader rise, Battle of Coruscant, ObiWan fighting style)
Star Wars Episode 6-Return of The Jedi
(Darth Vader struggle and change of side, Luke rescueing Han, Leia, and the rest)
Star Wars Episode 2-Attack of The Clones
(Yoda with a lightsaber!)
Star Wars Episode 1-The Phantom Menace
(Darth Maul vs QuiGon Jinn / ObiWan, one of the best lighsaber duels)
Star Wars Episode 4-A New Hope
(Great story but would be a much better movie with the special effects available now).
Star Wars Episode 5-The Empire Strikes Back
(Lucas is no good with love stories)
