how do you do a house burglary without being on a mission?

There's a robbery truck a block or so from your house. Across the street from Denise's house (you first girlfriend) there's a row of blue apartments. There's a truck sitting in one of the courtyards in-between them.
Press R3 (that's the right analog stick) to start a robbery mission. It has to be nighttime. The best houses to rob are the two houses on each side of Sweet's house (your brother who lives two houses down from your's). For some reason there's no people inside those houses when you rob them.

In order to do a house robbery, you have to get the big black truck and wait until it is about to be nighttime and then press R3 to start a burgalry mission. There is no other way to do a house robbery without doing this.
