Are we just here to experience reality or is there like a common goal we all are united in?

It is your embedded beliefs (learned defensive ego identity) that CAUSES your experience of reality which simply mirrors the contents of consciousness. Beliefs are subconscious and control perception, thought and feeling, having been imprinted (chemically through intense emotions associated with survival) through your early experiences with other limited egos.

BUT, you are not your ego thoughts and feelings. You are the OBSERVER of the programmed system/fake little self until you discard that identity and return to being the authentic Self. Reality then synchronizes with what you love - your purpose.

Each authentic being has a 'divine' ideal experience - the TRUTH about him/her - that would be "full aliveness" to them. If every human had the environment and support to fulfill this interior destiny the WHOLE of reality would be Divine as well. Many believe this ideal world is possible and inevitable as humans evolve further in their capacity for higher awareness/consciousness. Some see it as a natural biological process of brain development.

Yes and Yes, not or. A free spirited thinker strives to encompass reality. A follower, or spiritual and mental slave, is encompassed by reality. We all fall into following at times, and sometimes we break free.
The common unconscious goal of all people is to rise above ignorance. From religious fundamentalists who believe they have done so through an old book. To the scientists and philosophers who continually try to upgrade their knowledge.

This might seem hard to believe, but your thoughts are the most powerful tool in the universe. With your thoughts you create your world. Think about it. Everything you see around you started off in someone’s imagination. It all began with a thought. Your outer world is a mirror image of your inner world. Whatever you dwell on will manifest in your outer life. In fact, the more you dwell on something, the more it manifests. Where your attention goes, energy flows. You attract into your life the people, the circumstances, and the opportunities that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts. When I was overwhelmed with debt, a while back, all I could think about was my debt and how unhappy I was,Do you think that helped?? Things only turned around when I started focusing on what I was grateful for in life, what my goals were for the future, and what opportunities they were around me to make more money. The average person has 70,000 thoughts a day, and 55,000 of them are negative. Is it any surprise most people manifest unhappiness and lack of success? The only smart thing to do is to persistently think about your goals and have thoughts that are consistent with the person you’d like to be. The more you think about these things, the more that image engraves itself into your subconscious mind and the latter will go to work, 24/7, to bring it into reality. You become what you think about most of the time!

reality is interrpreted by the individual. The mind is a source of "feed back" which we in turn pick and choose at random of what we will or won't accept as part of what we esteem as our "reality" or our world. This is the reality of the individual. then there is the reality of the "real world" trees, grass, air, house, tv, computer, etc. things we touch taste smell(input) which leads us to the reality of our "extended world" this would include those who around us, and how we perceive them, their intentions, motives, desires, which is interpreted by the "individuals reality" of their mind and how they choose to perceive things. So, reality is then, both "interrior and exterrior" as perceived by the individual and the senses of the real world with those who collectively around them and each other perceiving differant resources of realitys of their individualities, this is just a "short version" and from this we can see why some "click" with certain types better than others. And, why there are personality"clashes" with some and not with most. And, why others "choose differantly and seem to go other than what You may see as "best" for them. are we beginning to understand the "Human Nature" a bit better now? ........lol......lol.. and this is our "Experience"

Goals are lies and deceptions... and everyone practices them, so I suppose in that respect we are united in our intent to deceive ourselves.

Reality?
The only reality is nothingness.
Everything else is just fabrication to pull us back from the void that our reasoning capability has in turn allowed us the ability to find.

My mind encompasses nothing but itself.
Unlike most minds though.... mine was never convinced. Mine can see that existence is just deceit... and I have seen the Nihil.

In terms of modern life, doesn't the peoples attitudes that you're complaining about make sense? Is it really their fault that they're interested in practicality, since no amount of religious or philosophical interest will put food on the table or keep them from becoming homeless? In a way they're less hypocritical and more honest than others, because they acknowledge the scientific facts which yield results in life, as opposed to someone who spends their life working for money and material gain yet hypocritically professes religious doctrine. I don't think the root of the problem is with the 'realists' but with the modern way of life as a whole.

Yes of course. I feel that we make up reality as we go along. And at the same time we live in your reality that you make as you go along.
