I think I'm in love with the girl I mentioned in my last question, even though I'm gay. It sucks, she's like my perfect partner, apart from the total lack of penis. I'm also totally in love with a straight guy, who has a girlfriend, who is best friends with one of my best friends, who knows I'm in love with him. Should i just give up now and go get drunk?

Er... Mr Jello, I'm 16, I'm not exactly "experienced in life". Apparently I just have the ability to fall in love with totally unsuitable people in less than 5 minutes.

I think it is great that you not only have these feelings but you are learning to sort them out, honestly you don't need a lot of advice you just need a good listener because you seem to be able to work things out for yourself!! At 16 you understand a lot about love and that indicates a happy future.

JUST continue to allow you heart to run as free and wild as it wants - but leave the decision making up to your head and you are all set for a bright future!!

I was just talking to a friend about this kind of thing.

We shouldn't be defined as gay, straight, bisexual, whatever....we are people. You fall in love with who you fall in love with.

My advice, leave the straight guy alone. If this girl is your perfect partner, then maybe it's worth the shot at a relationship. If there is real love there, you shouldn't not stop yourself from experiencing it. I kinda envy you. I'm still waiting for my soul mate. And forget what the rest of the world might say.....you deserve love and happiness, where ever it may be.

Good luck to you.

I think your problem is, is that you fall in love with the wrong people. Never give up on love. One day the right person will come along for you wether it is a man or a woman.

And if you need to get a little tipsy then thats fine, I wouldn't over do it though. LOL

I can relate. You really like a girl, but it just can't be anything more than a close deep emotional relationship. Purely platonic. Just be her best friend, can you really be much more? Don't go get drunk. It's a very bad habit to pick up on. Get over the straight guy right now... because it'll just hurt more if you don't. Good luck.

Oh dang! Man I've been in a situation like this before! Getting drunk may not be the most optimal solution, but it sure does bring some of the cheer back in life, LOL.

LOL Getting drunk won't help - trust me!

But you should give up on both of them. If you're gay, you'll never be able to do a thing with the girl, and if the guy is straight, you'll never be able to do a thing with him either, and you may get smacked around for it!

It *will* get better - trust me on that too! :)

Look at it this way. When you were younger and less worldly you believed yourself to be gay. Not that you're more experienced in life, you see things now that you didn't before.

Why give up an opportunity to know someone just because what you did last week?

Maybe now is the time to re-evaluate your life. Maybe you're not gay after all, or maybe you see now that gay is not predetermined by your birth, it's what you choose.

And now maybe it's time to make different choices in your life.

Added notes: You're more experienced now than you were last year. At your age, experience comes at you fast.

It could be that you made bad choices last year instead of making a bad choice now. You may only THINK you're gay!

No don't get drunk. Ask yourself why you only fall in love with people that aren't in a postion to love you back? Are you afraid to be loved for who you really are?

maybe you are bi-sexual? if you are in love with both a female and a male?

my suggestion would be for you to take a time-out. go get some coffee alone, and sit down and really think hard about all this.

being in love with a straight man [if youre a gay man] will NEVER work out. so youre beating yourself up.

now, about the girl. if you are bi-sexual, then you need to think that through. if you are full-out gay, think that through, too. sit down and seriously discover yourself before you make any conclusions. maybe you are feeling this way out of guilt, unconsciously. i dunno. but it sounds to me like you need to discover who you really are before you make decisions on who you are in love, or lust, with
