well i dont have an ex, but this is fun to answer, so:
call my dog into the room. (when she sees bugs, she likes to play with them first). she would pick him up in her mouth and then spit it out across the room like she usually does. this process would continue until she is tired of the bug, and decides to eat it =]

oh no... i wouldn't make it quick and painless ..i would grab him and put him in the microwave.(i did this with a bug when i was little and it blew up)=D
