x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 81
3x + 6 = 81
3x = 75
x = 25
25 + 27 + 29 = 81.

If n is an integer, then an odd number is
2n+1, the next 2n+3, and the last consecutive 2n+5
Add them to make 81
2n+1 + 2n+3 + 2n+5 = 81
6n = 81 -1-3-5 = 81 -9 = 72
n = 72/6 = 12
The numbers are
2n+1 = 24+1 = 25
2n+3 = 27
2n+5 = 29

let the 3 consecutive odd numbers be x , x+2 and x+4
=> x+(x+2)+(x+4)=81
=>3x+6=81
=>3x=81-6
=>3x=75
=>x=75/3
=>x=25
first odd number=x=25
second odd number=x+2=25+2=27
third odd number=x+4=25+4=29
and since 25+27+29=81
therefore the answer is correct

you obviously know what the answer is, but i'll offer a different solution to whats been posted:
Let x be any integer.
Consecutive integers:
1. 2n-1
2. 2n+1
3. 2n+3
(2n-1)+(2n+1)+(2n+3) = 81
6n+3=81
6n = 68
n = 13
Plug in n:
1. 2(13)-1 = 25
2. 2(13)+1=27
3. 2(13)+3=29
ANS: 25, 27, 29

What's 81 divided by 3? Take that number then subtract 2 to get the second number. Take the product and add 2 to get the third number.
