To develope a timbre voice? To perfect their timing & blank verse & memory? Will this lead to better acting?

Sure but most of our movie and television actors would be incappable of performing Sharespeare on the stage. Those are the true "actors" rather than "personalities" that are basically the same in every film or show and are able to redo any line they flub.

Absolutely. Timbre would be great, but in American cinema it wouldn't always be used. Timing can always be improved upon in my opinion as well as blank verse and memory. Then everyone would understand Shakespeare and always remember their lines as well! :-) I think many things can lead to better acting and studying Shakespeare could never hurt.

Sorry for this, but in regards to the other answerer: I for one am tired of the sporadic yet all inclusive American Actor bashing. Just because that's what the public at large here seems to like, doesn't mean we do not have American actors who are fully capable of pulling off a compelling Shakespearean performance and an audience who would applaud the change (finally!) Our society condemns us to having to deal with the likes of Tom Green. Please don't make us ALL suffer for it.

Thank you :-)

Not unless there is an audience for it.
