"You Are The One Who Owns My Heart"
U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon and Sunshine MacGillicutty were talking about a dance they were to attend that evening at the Town Hall. Sunshine and her band, "The Dodge Boys,"were going to be the entertainment.
Sunshine:" Okay....How's this?.....(3) You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress......... Like the idea?"
Matt:"I KNOW you are kidding!!" He threw a pillow at her to make his point. Naturally, Sunshine , the libidious lass from Virginia, thought he was getting "frisky," so she dove at him, knocking them both to the mattress!!
Matt:"Jesus! You are a total ........" She grabbed him and kissed him passionately. "Yoooooou are myyyyy.....Oh GOD!!"
An hour later they were frantically trying to get dressed and get to the dance on time!!
They reached the dance minutes before the band was to go on... The fellows all smiled and nudged each other....They were well aware of the love affair of the leader of their town and the leader of their band.
Matt:(1) "Kiss Me, Sunshine and try to keep your clothes on, THIS TIME!!!"
At the last dance one of the drunk cowboys in the audience had started the chant, "TAKE IT OFF!!!" Sunshine, half in the bag, herself, had gotten her blouse half way unbuttoned before Matt ran up to the platform and whisked her away.....
Sunshine sang, ♫"Hee Haw my baby loves me,♫" all the way home!! Matt knew that Sunshine was a wild, fun loving woman,and Matt knew that he had lost his heart.
Sunshine let out her famous "Rebel Yell" and the band kicked into their first number.... A song that she had written just last week.
To the tune of "Rock N' Roll Music"
♫ "Just let me hear some more that turkey trottin' music.

The joint was hoppin' and Sunshine was in her glory!! Matt leaned against the wall and watched her gyrating.......
Doc Adams walked up to Matt....... "Some day she's bound to throw her hip out of joint!!"
Matt:"I know it!!! She 's so God **** sexy I may have to go up there and kiss her!!"
Doc:"You do that, and I will PERSONALLY put you in the home for incurable crazy people!!!!!!!"
Matt:"Doc..... I am VERY crazy.... Crazy for my SunnyMac!"
Matt let out a loud (((whistle))) that caused Doc to jump! Sunshine returned the enthusiam with a very loud "HEE HAW MATTBABY. I'M GONNA TAG YOU TONIGHT!!!"
Kitty Russell, Matt's former girlfriend heard this,(as did everyone within a 100 yard radius!)....."Dear GAWD!!
How long must I put up with this damn hillbilly??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The dance was a raging success. For their very last number, Sunshine looked straight into Matt's eyes...."This one is for you, darlin'......... "

As they drove home that night in the buggy, Matt turned off the main road....."I want to dance with you under the stars, Sunny."
Sunshine squeezed his arm....."Oh baby.....(5) Lead me out on the moonlit floor." They walked down a little path that meandered through a field of wildflowers... The light from the moon illuminated their way. All at once matt grabbed her and pulled her gently down in the field with him. (2) Lightly beside the green green grass, they made sweet,sweet love....Matt and his Sunshine.
Matt was so overwhelmed with his feelings of love, that he wrote a poem for Sunshine....Right there on the spot:
" I'll go this path with you my darlin'. Just hold my hand and never leave.
Through summer nights and winter mornings. Stay by my side , please never leave.
(4) Well take the trail marked on your fathers map. The one that leads to fields of gold.
I'll be your friend. I'll be your lover. From now until the day I'm old.
And on the day God calls us home. Yes, on the day our souls depart................
You will still have all my devotion.......You will still....... own my heart."

I had asked her to meet me that night.
"Where shall I find you?" She whispered quietly in my ear/
"Well, take the trail marked on your father's map." I answered. "And be careful it will be dark."
"I'll easily see you with those luminous shoes you bought." She smiled wickedly, "And my bright yellow dress. You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress."
"That seems sensible." I concurred, "And when you come you must kiss me lightly beside the green, green grass."
"That I will." She replied huskily, "And then you can lead me out on the moonlit floor and we can dance until dawn."
