The basic classification is non-fiction.
You will find books on UFOs, out of body experiences, paranormal studies, Cayce's readings, Nostradamus' predictions, astrology and other such books listed similarly.

Specifically, all religious books are in the religious section of the library, but they are classified as non-fiction. Go figure!

Love the above answers. The religion section IS non-fiction. Yes, the Bible is shelved in non-fiction, as is Greek and Roman mythology, and fairy tales. Frankly, ANY book can go in non-fiction, as Mr. Dewey created the 800s for literature, so you will find Shakespeare and Shel Silverstein in non-fiction, as well.

Definitely non-fiction. It's in the religion section. The Dewey Decimal system of library organization has a section devoted to this. This I learned in elementary school.
