Maybe Nightwish, but that's more of a metal band than a rock band. Same with Lacuna Coil (though some consider them rock).

Me think most females prefer to sing on the poppy side rather than the rocky side. Anyways, be prepared to go through all the Evanescence and Flyleaf and Paramore suggestions...

I've listed these bands specifically because you asked for good singing/voices.

Eisley (Amazing voices, amazing music)
FLYLEAF!!! (Lacey Mosley's voice isn't the best honestly but it dosn't matter because the music is brilliant!)
The Cranberries (Dolores O'Riordan has her own solo album)
Frou Frou (Imogen Heap has her own album)
A Fine Frenzy (I don't know her name but her singing is amazing)
Meg & Dia
Metric
The Birthday Massacre
New Years Day (good singing if you like Paramore's voice)
Tegan and Sara (they have nice singing in their new album "The Con")

Debbie Harry (Blondie), Heart, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Kelly Clarkson (more pop than rock), Arch Enemy (if you like women who sound more like men, but its a chick singing), Courtney Love (Hole), Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), Amy Lee from Evenescence has a good voice but it doesn't go along with the music (too slow), Kittie, Sleater-Kinney
