having a mani/pedi or getting your hair done just trying to relax...and theres this one woman who feels the need to tell the whole world and their father about her bikini wax rash or that her sisters husband has had it off with the next door neighbour's gran...why oh why...keep it to yourself hun.x.

My best friend and I were in the salon for some highlighting she'd wanted done (my birthday present to her) when some old lady started talking about child molestation and abuse. Just went on and on with details that made everyone there blush. Completely oblivious to my friend's distress. We finally had to tell the beautician to reschedule and we walked out. My friend cried for hours, recalling her own abuse, and I wanted to go back and shake the false teeth out of the old lady. Don't people ever think??

Yes, I go to the salon every six weeks to have my hair done and they do nothing but gossip. Co-workers start talking about each other when they leave the room then act like best friends when they come back. Or they talk about previous customers they worked on. It makes me think what they say about me when I leave.

The hairdressers that I go to is really good and there is always a nice atmosphere there. Occasionally you might get one girl who feels the need to brag about all the things that she does and doesn't do or the people she does and doesn't know...but that's what makes the world go around
