if anyone can make a comeback i think its vick. in 3 years he might come back but as a receiver or a DB. but i doubt a GM would sign him as a QB.

I think it over based on the fact that he would be away from the sport for awhile in an environment that his skills can't develop. Look at athletes like Mike Tyson, Ricky Williams, and even Muhammad Ali who skills were not as sharp when returning to the sport. Ali actually changed his style and became a different fighter, but other athletes skills diminished. I think Vick's skill and speed might too.

That's not what is sad in this story. It's all those helpless dogs that were tortured, killed, and forced to fight. I love football, but it's just a game, and he is just a guy who can throw a ball and rush for yards. It's not like we're never gonna find the cure for cancer now just because Mike Vick doesn't play football anymore. And I hope his career is over. Yes, people should get second chances, but if you want a career in a field that makes you a hero you need to act heroic, or at least NOT act like a barbarian.

It is over because the witchhunters and headhunters are requiring it. It won't go away because most people want to see him brought down to the ground and whats left to be buried.
I feel sorry for him and how he was sold out by friends, and the public.
They will make a lasting example out of him and they will strip and rip him of everything.
Black folks every where should be ashamed and not just for what he did but how he is being treated right now also. I mean, yes it wrong - it was horrible, but they were animals and yes they have rights but what about VICK is there no way that he could rectify and change from this and make restitution - Come on America where is forgiveness - everyone has their own agenda and angst in this and they act as though this effected them in some way or cost them something and some of these people are the same ones that go deer hunting, duck hunting, fishing and lets not talk about eating fish, steak, chicken and pork.....

12 to 36 months is not enough time for him. I say string him up by his b#&s with an electrical cord dangleing over some water. Oops....the cord might break and he might get electrocuted. Good Riddance! I hope he gets everything he deserves and more for torturing those poor dogs. He makes me sick.
And I hope no one is stupid enought to hire him on after this mess. He made his bed now he must pay the price. Unfortuantley animal cruelty doesn't get enough prison time.
And Justaboutpeace....what about Vick? You are truely a moron!

What do you people mean about his sentence being too short, if you morons would do your research you would realize that most first time offenders for animal cruelty rarely get more than six months in prison. Why should Vick get more? Is it because he is a NFL player? They are humans too, and they make mistakes. Or is it because he's black. I would love for you to honestly answer that question. If this was President Bush or Dick Cheney killing dogs, you people probably wouldn't take it as serious as ya'll are doing now. This is a minor crime, so get over it.

What do you expect in a society that values a person for their animal like athletic skills and not their brains and contribution to society?
You want to sit in the stands at a sporting event and cheer the pit bulls in helmets bashing into each other? Then are surprised by their off field behavior?? You are as guilty as Vick is.

Lets not shift the focus...the sad part is about the animals. But you can be sure that the conversations will all be about his lost career, not the lost lives for his enjoyment and finances. Frankly, the sentence is too lenient, and its time that people realize they are not above the law. When arrested, he assured everyone that he was innocent and the truth would come out. Well imagine that - the truth did come out, and he's GUILTY!

I am not a member of PETA nor a crazy tree hugger. But I will say this: Mike Vick deserves EVERYTHING that is coming to him. To harm and kill INNOCENT animals is very cowardly. To make things worst, he was looked up to by young children, teenagers and adults and for him to go and do something like this. I hope they throw the book at him. He should have to do time, pay a hefty fine, and donate about $10 million to the Humane Society.

LO subject is he's enjoying out of place. he's a SF and performs his superb interest at sf. He passes and handles excellently. He could desire to be enjoying C. Bynum is merely 20. Bynum doesnt could desire to be a scorer. we've Kobe, Gasol and LO. He ought to be a center. he's a superb shot blocker and pictures a intense %. performs down low and grabs the boards. He helps Gasol to return to PF the place he belong and LO performs extra powerful at SF. you will see
