When making hot chocolate do you like to add the mix then the water or do you add the water then the mix? And is there any real reason you do it that way?

mix and then water... i only put enough water in to cover the chocolate, so it's more like a liquid chocolate bar

If I'm REALLY gonna make hot chocolate I heat up the milk on the stove then when it gets warm I add the chocolate and spices. If I'm gonna make a cup fast-like, I add the chocolate first because it seems to mix faster and is less awkward to stir, when I have put it on the top it can spill over the top of the cup.

When I make hot chocolate, I heat canned milk with 50% water very slowly. I put a hand egg beater in the pot and put the chocolate, one teaspoon at a time, in and beat it with the hand mixer. I add a pinch of salt, a dash of vanilla, and sometimes a couple teaspoons of sugar.

This hot chocolate is frothy, delicious, and incredibly rich. It is the same way we made it on the farm, except we used milk directly from the cow while it was still warm from her body.

I like to put a mug of milk in the microwave and heat it up for 1-2 minutes. Then I put the mix in. It definitlely dissolves better that way and I would choose milk over water because it tastes richer.

I make my own mix. I heat milk and pour it over cocoa power, sugar, cinnamon, dash of salt and a little vanilla. My kids love it that way. The recipe is on the Hershey cocoa box.

I don't use the mix, it doesn't taste as good as homemade, and I like my Hot Chocolate, creamy hot, with lots of marshmellows. I want to throughly enjoy it.
