Much to the contrary. Much of civilization's problems can be directly attributed to those moronic few who insist on going against the basic teachings of the Bible. But perhaps you're right. We SHOULD be allowed to commit murder. We SHOULD be allowed to lie, cheat and steal. And I for one would dearly love to bed down with my neighbor's wife. She's absolutely stunning. So, what's your momma look like?

What? Was it something I said? When you consider that the laws of these United States are all based on the Biblical 10 Commandments -- and when adhered to, create a very nice social contract/construct, I'll bet it really just puts a burr under your saddle. Grow up. Deal with it. No one's perfect. The only one who may have been (according to your beliefs), you SOBs crucified!

Try and knock and ask in Leviticus.
Will notice what went wrong out there.
Will notice what can happen when living human kind did not master our creator's universal gifts of life.
The blunders and slip-ups with human errors on the defintion of worshiping God on planet earth without being aware of the mess out there.
Luke 8.17

No. For example, male domination in society can be found in many cultures that do not believe in anything written in the Bible.
And when it comes to animal abuse, there are actually verses in the Bible that tell people they are cruel and stupid if they abuse animals. (I think one of them is in Proverbs.)

The Bible just documents what was going on at the time... we are all still the same humans... the same mess we have always been..

You are mixing causes and consequences.
Bible only depicts human nature.

Yes. It's meant to be a rough guide, not a life plan.
