Because it's easy points for Yahoo Answers. I f you don't put anything at all, you don't get any points! Some questions people ask are so complicated, you sometimes have to write volumes to answer every point/part of their question. When I see a question that is really easy or one that I may not know the answer to, you bet I put something, just to collect a few easy points. It makes up for all the typing I did on the complicated questions and only got 2 points for.

I'll do it occasionally, if:
A) It was a stupid question ("Does anyone have Hannah Montana's home phone number?")
B) If the questioner doesn't bother to put any information in the actual question so that you have no clue what the question is about until you open it ("Has anybody?" ...click on the question, and it continues "seen the show Hundosswe Wasnfods shown on Indonesian channel 32?") Since I had to waste my time opening your question only to find out it's nothing I know about, then I can at least have 2 points for wasting my time.

They mainly put stuff like that cause u get 2 points when u answer a Q so when they dont have anything to say they put things down so that they can get those 2 points.

Some do it just to be a smart-***, some for the points, and some do it just to have something to say.
