They have been in a major funk lately. This 3 gamer again the indians is nearly critical. I am hoping that with Zumaya coming back will be a step in the right direction. But, we'll see.
Also, this question is mainly for all you tiger haters (I cant imagine anyone hating The Beloved Tigers) out there.
This is your chance to dog me, as I have been dogging you.
So, go ahead....hit me with your best shot; fire away!

Their fortitude and gumption is on the disabled list. I hope they get it back in time to face the Yankees this weekend!

I wouldn't be so confident about that division title. Tigers have struggled agains the Indians and if the Indians pull off the sweep, the division race for Detroit is over as they won't be playing Cleveland head to head again this year. The Wild Card is NOT coming out of the Central this year. I think the bigger impact on the team will come from Polanco rather than Zumaya, they've been struggling with offense and he's one of the best table setters.
P.S. notice the lack of dogging here. As a Yankee fan I don't kick people when they're down unless it's Boston.

Tigers has the tough series this week as against Indians and Yankees. They need some comeback as can keep their division title hope alive. They has two ways to force Indians lost the division lead and keep Yankees out from caught up Red Sox for division lead.
Tigers need work on the bullipen as can end the game with any saves. They has many starter pitchers. Jim Leyland had choice only five pitchers to be in the rotation.

Why would I dog you? Instead I will let you know the good news Tiger fans - You can save money! That is right. There is no need for you to fork over big bucks for playoff tickets this year! So go ahead and buy Lions tickets - or a 22 game plan for the Red Wings!

Okay, I actually think the Tigers will pull it off and win the division. With pitching back from injuries, watch them win. I just hope they lose on September 30 against the White Sox. I'm going to the game. And I for some reason do not like to dis teams.
GO WHITE SOX!

The Indians(fortunately)have shown signs of coming out of it. the Tigers haven't. They have to hope that Zumaya will spark them. If the Indians sweep the Tigers are in big time trouble. It's unlikely but it happened in May.
Nacnud-Clearly you have the Yankees and the Indians confused along with Kevin B and yourself.

Its simple. They got complacent. They got lazy. Last season, they had chips on their shoulders. After making it to the World Series, they rested on their laurels. With Zumaya coming back, maybe he'll bring some competitive fire with him because its the division title or nothing this year. The AL Central is good and the AL Wildcard is tight.

The Tigers will snap out of it. They will get a solid start from Verlander and probably from Robertson as well. I don't know anything about the kid starting the first game. Their offense will come alive as Sheff gets healthy (which should help Magglio see more pitches). I see the Tigers winning the Central as well.

no kenny rogers, that jair jurrgens guy had to take over for andrew miller. zumaya will put the tigers back in the winning ways. and craig monroe was horrible this year. that resulted in cameron maybin getting called up. hey georgie, to make you feel better, that 1st rounder rick porcello was the best high school pichter, and only fell to the tigs cause teams thought he wanted to much money.

Leyland hasn't cracked teh whip in a while. If that losing streak reaches 5 then I'm sure Leyland win find ways of slap all kinds of fortitude & gumption back into them.
