We pump all sorts of money and support into countries with much worse political policies and human rights violations (see Iraq, N. Korea, China, Iran, ...the list goes on and on). But for some reason the stance has not changed on Cuba. What is the reason?

Well, I guess if Cuba sent us poisoned pet food to kill our dogs and cats; and sent us lead-coated toys to poison our children; and sent us poisoned toothpaste to kill us with, then that would be OK, and they would get a "free pass" like China already does...

Remember the Gonzales** kid that was from Cuba who's mothered died on the way over here and his father wanted him back in Cuba and the Cuban exiles in Miami turned it into an international incident and went frigging bazerk?
There is your answer. The anti Cuban lobby in this country is very strong, outspoken........ and nuts with a lot of money that they stole from Cuba when they fled to the USA. Politicians don't like screwing around with people like that.
**He's now about 18 and a pretty happy well adjusted kid living in Cuba. Can you imagine if the Cubans in Miami had their way and kept him here, turning him into a poster boy for their brand of hate how he would have turned out.

Yes it is very hypocritical. (Maybe the Mafia doesn't have a problem with China.) (Castro did ban the casino gambling in Cuba which was run by American Mafioso -could that have something to do with it? I wonder.) Officially it makes no sense and no one seems to have a good explanation. This would be a good question for one of the election debates or to ask your Congressional Representative next time you write or call.

Most president's won't make another look bad, no matter what side your on political. Cuba was JFK's big moment, and his feeling for Cuba were such as the U.S. do not do business with Cuba untill Castro goes.
Execpt for the worst president in History Jimmy Carter who allowed Castro to empty out his Jails and send his Killers, Rapists and etc. to our country in 79, Thanks Jimmy,

It's not because they are Communist, it's because Fidel made us mad. When he's dead, we'll start doing business with them again - whether they stay Communist or not. I can't wait. I love Cuban food!
