Try "Kupels Bagels" Kupel's Bakery is a nice Jewish bakery in Brookline. Apparently it's been around for quite a while, I've heard for about 20 years. It makes the best bagels I've ever tasted. They have won the award for best bagels in Boston from Boston Magazine multiple times.

Pros
cheap, great food, too many choices

Cons
can be busy or have long lines

The Bottom Line
If you are looking for the best tasting bagels and pastries, go to Kupel's. You won't be disappointed!

Location:
421 Harvard St
Brookline, MA 02446

Kupels is the best bagels! However, to take the T there, you probably would have to get the Green line to Coolidge Corner, and then walk a bit. There might be a closer stop but I am not 100% positive. It's on Harvard Street, and well worth it!

I really like Kupel's as well. Best to get there ealier in the day, when they come out fresh from their ovens.

I used to love Zeppy's bagels in Randolph, but they've closed up shop. They still sell wholesale, however, to the Rebecca's restaurants. There are a few around town...2 are in the financial district on High Street. (Red line to South Station.)
