I have always heard her referred to as Rodham-Clinton since Bill was in the white house. Name recognition is likely one reason. Also there are still a lot of traditionalists around and taking your husbands last name is the right thing to do and that would appeal to certain people while keeping her maiden name may alienate some. Just my read on the situation.

Hillary Rodham Clinton does use both her maiden and Married names! All women have the option to either drop their birth names or hyphenate their names If they are married and add her husband's name. They can Resume using their birth or maiden names for professional purposes or was known by their own names in a professional or business atmosphere for a longer period of time. Divorced/wodowed women have the same option. It has become fashionable for women to retain their own maiden names, even though they are married.
In some cultures, the maiden names are the mother's maiden name before marriage and the name of their father...Such as Hernadez-Diaz signifying both families at birth and loyalty to those families.

Like a lot of women, including Republicans, Hillary Rodham Clinton chooses to include her maiden name in formal documents and the like. The Clinton is there.
If you dislike her politics, vote for somebody else. Don't go looking for some other flimsy reason to dislike her.

Why does Mitt Romney use his middle name "Mitt" instead of his true first name "Willard"? Because who would elect "Willard" president!

It's the name Hillary's known by, and she can run however she wants.
