When I resigned my 1st job, after working for 8 years with the company. I was scared because I did not know whether I could get another job and at the same time relieved that I get to do what I was contemplating in doing for at least 2 years. Turned out it was the best decision that I have ever made.

Hi CBG,

told my controlling narcissist wife I wanted a divorce. Thought it constantly, but physically saying those words - out loud - to her....It took me over a year to work up that courage.

Looking back, it was the most incredible and victorious decision of my life. My son is happier and I have lost 15 lbs, quit caffeine and have never been healthier.

It's those moments in life when you feel the most fear that your true courage is revealed.

I thank God every day for that day. And for the rest of my life.

Make the decision to confront my family on their many messed up issues, and bring all our problem into the light so we can discuss them and move on. Either it will make all of us happy, or they will never speak to me or each other again. It's easier to leave things alone, avoid confrontation and be unhappy. But I am choosing to be happy, or to make the attempt at happiness. If my family wants to choose to be stubborn and not change their ways, that is their decision. I will make my stand and that is all I can do.

Shaving my long locks off before brain surgery! I was more concerned about my hair than the actual surgery! It was horrific! Very tramatic.
