Actually, Edwards was a paid consultant to Fortress Investment Group, as well as having invested $16 million in them and receiving over $150,000 in campaign contributions from them.
The point is the hypocrisy in his claim to stand up for the under-privileged while actually taking advantage of them, not the fact that he was involved in a company with questionable business practices.
Only after it was exposed did he back away from the trough.

John Edwards is one reason why we have sky high medical bills. His law suits and I am willing to bet his take was 70% or better.
Look how he lives does anyone really think he knows what is like to feel poor.
Save his father's line about working in cotton mill.
I lost respect for John Edwards where he went on feeding the line that Reeves would walk again if he was elected. Pumping people with false hope.
Edwards is running #3 for a reason.
Well there is a good thing about him running he makes Obama and Hillary look good when you compare them side by side.
BTW: I couldn't help myself but someone mention Rush so let me give you the reference.
One thing liberals can't stand is that Rush does site his sources and reads from them.
As far as FEMA's response.
1) Mayor Nagin was suppose to have a plan to surive for 48 hours without FEMA according to FEMA guildlines.
2) The LA Nation Guard was avaiable to help the units in LA were support troops to handle moving people. The gov never activated them.
So if you are going to mention FEMA make sure you mention all those who failed that day.

One of the reasons for these actions is desperation, his candidacy for months has been in the toilet. He only gets publicity when his wife goes off on something so I guess the new plan is for him to really intensify this two America concept that he believes will win him votes when he is the most unaware of what it is like to be poor or middle class with is $400 haircuts and extravagant lifestyle.

actually your statement is completely inaccurate.
It would assume, that he knew they were forclosing on them, which would exclude the real facts that he withdrew his investment in the companies after he found out.
Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, who has called homeownership "the foundation of the American dream," said Friday he will divest his holdings in funds linked to lenders that have foreclosed on Hurricane Katrina victims.
"I will not have my family's money involved in these firms that are foreclosing on people in New Orleans," he told the Associated Press.
"My reaction is I'm going to help these people," Edwards said in a telephone interview. "I just learned about this. I don't know the details, I will find out and I will find a way to help them."

and continues to be with his " taters for poor tots " platform

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. He also made millions of dollars off of frivolous lawsuits, playing on the emotions of gullible, desparate "victims," then had the gall to preach to us "common folk" from high atop his lofty beachouse mansion that Jesus would be ashamed how we treat the poor.
Looks like Preacher Edwards has stepped in it again.

If this was a republican canidate, would you have posted and before you say yes you would, you would be lying.
How about this why don't give you the entire story and let people judge instead of trying to throw people under the bus.
Do you want me to bring up Bush's Fema!
