No. If it happens once, it could happen again. A person who betrays someone else is weak. It's a matter of making the right choice and controlling yourself.
Why put yourself in the position for more heartache and hurt?
Of course, most people who have never been betrayed, can easiler say, "Yeah, I'd forgive them". But when it happens, they change their tune.

Man I swear that is a hard thing to do. I try so hard to be good to people and if they lie on me that makes me pretty angry, but there are people that I have welcomed back as friends but there is just one in particular that I could never welcome back and he was never a Freind to begin with, and we had known each other for 10-years, it was sad and needless but he brought it on his self.I'll forgive but I keep my distance soemtimes if it's a bad betrayal and this wasGod awlful.

Judas betrayed Jesus Christ but he forgave him.
Therefor so can we forgive our betrayers, teach us lessons never let you best friend know all your secrets.
