The so called cavemen were modern humans who lived in caves in Europe. Probably about 10,000-30,000 years ago. Also Neanderthals are known as cavemen. Their time frame is about 200,000-28,000 yrs. ago.

The Native Americans are still up in the air as to time frame. Until recently it was believed that they came to America 15,000-13,000 yrs. ago. Now the science is starting to prove they were here as early as 25,000 yrs. ago. I am sure some N. Americans lived in caves but I don't think it was as common as in Europe. Maybe for lack of acceptable caves?

most "cavemen" didn't live in caves what makes a caveman a caveman is how teachnologicaly advanced he is and in that respect native americans were either cavemen or barely above them, they had no metal, no large scale goverments, no citys, they never had a chance against europeans. off an a tangent I've often heard stories of them bieng cheated in deals by europeans but iff you think about they were getting the better end of these deals. They never sold citys they just sold worthless forest which europeans improved. the beads to them were like pure diamond they probably never felt cheated

Absolutely not the same thing!
Native Americans are Indians.
Cavemen fought the Indians.
Proof of this is the famous Battle of the Little Big Bone, also known as Oogla's Last Stand!

And don't forget that the first modern humans, Homo Habilis and then Homo Sapiens, lived in caves.

The first humans to cross the Bering Land Bridge 25,000 to 65,000 years ago were fully developed HOMO SAPIENS - modern man.
