I know there are some restrictions on what you may be allowed to bring into a baseball game... so, my question is. Is there any restrictions on bags? Like how Nascar has to be clear?

You can definitely figure they'll search the bag. You may be able to find specific restrictions on what type of bag you can and cannot bring in at the teams website.

Some teams have restrictions on how large the bag can be and can limit you to one bag. Other teams like the Astros don't allow outside food and can search your bag at will. My advice is to either call the Red Sox or go to their website for that answer.

Each ballpark has its own policies -- you can call the team's stadium operations office to ask, or surf the team's own page at MLB.com and see what you can find.

Definitely expect at least a cursory search. Realize that, other than weaponry, they're probably strictest about food and drink than anything else, because they want you to spend money on park food -- but again, it is up to the individual team's policy. Sealed, plastic bottles of water tend to be okay (please recycle).

Cameras are okay; by now video cameras are probably okay because it has become such a commonplace tech level (people have vid capability in cell phones) that there's no real way to screen for it.

No alcohol. NO park lets you get away with that.

Here's a bit from the MLB.com Fenway Park details (link below):

Prohibited Items
Fans may not bring coolers, computers, or containers of any type into Fenway Park. Fans traveling directly from work are reminded to leave the items listed above at their place of business. No food can be brought into the ballpark and only sealed bottled waters of 16oz. or less are allowed. Fans will NOT be permitted to store any of the prohibited items at Fenway Park.

Huh, no computers? Guess they don't like live blogging descriptions of the game without the expressed, written consent of the Kommissar. "Containers" here probably means drink containers, like a Thermos, but call for confirmation.

Free hint: no ballpark is going to refuse you bringing in a baby diaper bag, but this dodge only works well if you have a baby with you.

You can bring a bag, they'll search it though. There's certain things that you can't bring in with you, like food, drinks, probably no professional cameras- just like a concert. I'm going to a game on the 31st, I'm bringing a bag, along with my binoculars. I just love Varitek, he's got a great ***!
