You built it, or just put it together? ... Doesn't matter, I'm doing some remodeling and you'd be handy to have around!
(you're right about the instructions, more me should read them BEFORE doing the project ... I finally figured that out. lol)
.
I love cottontail's answer, but that wouldn't apply to a lot of women. The part about men might though...hehe.

I built my own lkea chair, but that's the least. l actually carried it to the station and had to transfer twice. my arms were so tired when I got back I couldn't lift them to do my make-up!
l must admit it was because l didn't know how to ask for a delivery in Japanese, and they don't speak much English here in Japan.
But who needs men...

I can do this as well. I hate men assuming that because you are a woman you can't do the DIY etc. Me and my dad were putting wardrobes up and I managed to get mine up quicker than he got his up. They were exactly the same and we started at the same time. I think this is because I read instructions.

Funnily enough my hubby earns a fortune putting flat pack furniture together for women and he never reads the instructions.

I have built about three of four chests of drawers in our house and two bedside cabinets that were flat packed - no trouble at all.

i think it suits us women sometimes to pretend not to be abel to do diy but feel we are more than capable just as men are capable of doing household chores. My husband at 45 still claims to be unable to work washing machine !- Aye right!

me too, even helping the hubby re-slate the roof last summer, not all women enjoy being carried through life, as you obviously know!
