hahahahahha Grossman looked terrible....
but on to the biggerpicture, I personally said last year when they were in the superbowl that they better do it then and there becuase they arent going to make it back, much of their success came from fluke wins throughout the season, look at the Cardnals game last season, thats a prime example.
I dont discredit the bears for any reason but they did play with a lot of luck last year. And the lose of T. Jones is going to kill them! If Grossman cant refine himself than I think you are right, and they wont steamroll the NFC north... luckily for you the lions arent that great (although looking much better for some crazy reason) and Greenbay is lightyears away from another tittle shot.
but between you and me, your division is still weak, The vikings arent that good, although they show promise, they are still lacking in areas.
Good luck

First of all, the Colts scored 1 TD on the Bears D in the time that they played, including that goal line stand after Grossman threw a pick. They didn't "move the ball at will." That TD the Colts scored was more a matter of field position that the Colts walking down the field.
Second of all, neither Tommie Harris nor John Tait started.
Thirdly, the special teams looked very good (why people are STILL kicking to Hester is beyond me).
Yes, I'll admit that Grossman looked shaky, and that made me uneasy, but if you think Minnesota's offense with Tavarus Jackson is better than Chicago's, you're sadly mistaken. By the way, the Jets suck. The Bears will win the NFC North. And anyways, its still the preseason.
I think we may have found veggiefootballfan's "star running back cousin."

I think it's just you. Although preseason is supposed to highlight what is to come.. remember, all the starters don't play for the entire game. The backups are given a chance to showcase their skills.. if any. This is why the common misconception is that preseason games don't count because the starters play for a good twenty minutes out of the entire game. Our offense isn't bad. We just need some minor improvements. Grossman will be a seasoned QB.. although it may take a couple of season. The one thing the Bears have had a difficult time with is choosing a good QB. It takes time. Favre didn't start out that great either and look where he is now. Everyone needs to get off the "Grossman sucks" bandwagon and realize they should be saying "Eli Manning sucks"

Is it just me, or is it still the pre-season and it doesn't mean a thing. Lot of Super Bowl teams the past 20 years didn't have good pre-seasons. Lot of teams that finished 2-14 that had great pre-seasons.
I'm not saying that you're wrong about the Bears and Vikings. Just saying that if you are right, it won't have anything to do with how they played in the pre-season. The stars simply do not get to play much. That Bears team is not the Bears team that will line up at the scrimmage line on opening day.

Hard to tell since the camera kept resting on the announcers yakking about anything but the game. From what I could tell the defense still looks good and special teams made some good plays. Offense --- well the same old story. BUT it was good to have all of the QBs get an opportunity to score. Still am miffed that that our 2 back up QBs did not get an opportunity to do even one play in the Super Bowl.

YES FAVRE DID START OUT GREAT!!!.That's why the starting QB lost his job after Favre stepped in because he got injured, and has had his job for the past 16 years with a lifetime contract with Greenbay.Grossman doesn't hold a candle to Favre and the Bears have been threw 18 QB's since Brett has been playing for the Pack.
Ill give Grossman one more chance to be average at best threw his probable short career

I wouldn't worry about the Bears. I would worry about the same problem as last year. Rex Grossman. Man doesn't look good. Preseason or not, he should not be making the simple mistatkes he made last night.

It's pre-season, SB champs ain't decided till end of season, relax and wait til mid-season before you start rating a teams chances. But who knows? You may be right. After all, the only sure thing in the NFL is that Oakland will finish last...

Don't worry about how the BEARS are doing in preseason....it doesn't mean a thing...preseason football is nothing more than the players competing for a starting role and just to make the team.....
