My husband was having trouble letting go of his freedom. Every time we talked about starting a family he would say lets wait 6 more months and talk about it then. So I invited our friends over who have two very cute very well behaved children. After a weekend with them, he caught the baby bug too. This our first month ttc.

It was the other way around for me...
My hubby had been wanting kids since like a few months after we got hitched. But I wanted to wait and just enjoy us some. Then, about a year and half after enjoying each other, I decided it was time.
This is how I told him:
He was playing video games. I came and sat in his lap and said, "Punkin, I want a baby." He totally messed up in his game, stopped playing without pausing - rare for him - and looked at me and started grinning so hard! I knew he was excited about my decision. So we just sat and talked for a few hours. It was all in all, a great day. Then the upcoming weekend, I was supposed to start my new birth control pack, so he took it out of my hand and said, "We won't be needing those icky things anymore."
Still trying a few months later, but it's fun regardless. Stressful and disappointing at times, but fun none the less.

He got drunk once and told me he would never tell me he was ready. He said it was too scary that he would be a dad someday. So I decided this year was the year. I gave him a chance to say no, after all he said he would never be ready. So we just didn't say much. I went to the doctor and got checked out. I told him what we needed to do to have a baby. He agreed to it. He still has never officially agreed, but he knows what we are doing. I thought it was so strange. However I think it is just a guy thing. Taking care of a family is very scary for most men.

I told my husband that I want children and I'm ready to start trying. I knew he wasn't ready right after we got married like I was so I told him I wouldn't push it. I said, "you know that I'm ready so I won't say another word about it, when you're ready you let me know." About a month or two later he came home from work and said he wanted to talk to me and he told me he was ready to be a bad. We've been ttc for the past 11 months.Good luck to you!

Well my husband and I both wanted kids from the day we met on the website we made profiles on. So I didn't have to convince him at all. Been TTC #1 for 10 months.

my 1st was a surprise, so with my 2nd after 1 year after I had my 1st, I just said should we start trying for #2, and he just agreed, but now with #3 he wanted to only start trying 5-6 years from now, but I said that I wanted a closer age difference between 2nd and 3rd, so he agreed with me, I can't say I had difficulties getting him to agree, even though he only wanted 2 children.lol
