Some physicists say that we move through time moment by moment, but that the dimension of time exists forever: the beginning and end are present eternally. God is said to live in all times at once, but what can we retain in our limited minds?

Moments in which we experience some strong emotion are often seared into our memories forever.

Your first kiss, or that moment of total humiliation in high school, or the birth or death of someone you love.

Some experiences fade even though we want to remember them. So consider keeping a diary so that you can relive them later. What you write will call forth even things you didn't record at the time. It's suprising what a comfort that can be years from now.

by definition a moment is a brief status. the memory of a moment might last forever, but it won't last completely intact. i recently took a psych class that discussed memories. when the experience occurs, it is filed in our long-term memory. every time we retrieve that memory, our brain will fill in any missing gaps in the information. the more you retrieve the memory, the more likely that it has been altered unintentionally. unless there is videotaped proof of the moment, it is possible to really keep the accurate, factual moment forever. this also explains why two people who experience the exact same moment remember it differently. each person's brain fills in gaps when they retrieve it. this has been proven in studies over and over again.

also, i am a sociology student conducting an anonymous study on relationships. you can check it out at: http://geocities.com/sbiv37/marr

Of course...The feeling you get will always be kept inside of you...Even if you forget the feeling..one day you will experience it again and that moment will come flooding back to you!
