Oh, you want to "ship" a hockey stick.
For a minute there, I thought you were asking something else entirely.

If you are shipping more than one stick, tape them together. Pick up some bubble wrap at your local Staples or Office Depot, enough to wrap the entire stick. After that, get some heavy plastic, clear or colored doesn't matter, and cover the bubble wrap. Seal all of the seams with packing tape so nothing can catch any of the conveyor belts or machines it may go through in shipping. You can affix the mailing label to that along with a couple of fragile stickers which you can make yourself or pick up with the bubble wrap. This is how all of the sticks I have ever ordered have been packaged whether from manufacturers or stores.

Hmm...That's a good question.
I'd say you just get a lot of packaging paper &maybe bubble wrap and duct tape &wrap it up. The bubble wrap to put under the paper so that, in case it rips the bare stick won't be exposed.
&put the sending info on the blade, I guess.
I don't know, that just seems the obvious way to go to me. I don't know where you would get a box the right size...maybe if you went to a place that sells hockey sticks they could find you the right size box or give you some tips?
Well, good luck!

If its an autographed stick, as in expensive, I would cut a piece of ply wood in a rectangle, at least 2 inches bigger than the stick in every direction. Use cheap plywood or particle board, 3/8" or thicker. Wrap the stick in bubble wrap and tape it to the plywood. Wrap it in paper. Send it UPS or Purolater.
Whatever you do, do not cut the plywood to the contour of the stick, anything that protrudes has a higher chance of getting broke. This is not the cheapest method by any means, but its probably the safest of the reasonably cheap.

Wrap the entire stick in bubble wrap then with a sheet of sturdy plastic. You can get both at Staples or Office Depot. This is how my sticks are shipped to me from the manufacturer.

Put cardboard around it, and tape it up well. I would take it to ups, as this may be an oversize item at the post office.

I'd ship it down Sean Avery's throat. Certainly, his mouth is big enough to try it. RANGERS SUCK!
