Ray Joseph Dandridge and Rickey Javon “Cooley” Gray murdered two families in the first three days of 2006. The Harvey family, murdered on January 1st, were white. The Tucker family, murdered on January 3rd, were black.

I must argue that the Tucker family murder has gotten a lot of press. They were a popular family and also owned a shop on Cary Street. (World of Mirth?) Sadly, the Tucker family murder received a lot less coverage, in my opinion. (I had trouble finding references to it on Google.)

The Tucker family murder struck close to home for me, literally and figuratively. I own a house only a few miles from where they lived.
