I don't think so but this is what is gonna happen:

Roger Goodell will ban him from the NFL because he has a blood hatred for Vick. Goodell hates any black guy that can dance well. The Falcons will appeal and Goodell will have to remove the ban. Then the Falcons will cancel his contract and he will be a free agent. He will stay a free agent until he comes out of jail. Then he will sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because they will have QB problems for another 6 years. Vick will sign a 2-yr $500,000 deal. The reason he deals for less is because he would want revenge on the Falcons. He will start as a 2nd string QB and eventually will become good, but then an injury late will make him realize that he should retire.

yes, he should be banned. To show all that play the game that they are a privileged few and that they represent the league in their daily actions. I don't care if he is white or black, or even if this crime were commited by Peyton manning, it is an unforgivable crime. Some say he will do his time, and he has appologised but get real people! What if the crime was child molestation? Would you say an appology and jail time is enough to forgive? We as human beings raise household pets, and just as our children they look to us for care and love, for someone to do the things he is now admitting to have done to a household pet, is in my eyes unforgivable, because it does range up their with child molestation and murder. He took defenseless animals, and killed them in inhumane ways...tortured. he didn't put them down with a needle. We as a society treat our worst criminals better than what he has these animals. Maybe the Dolphins should have drowned his brother because of his lack of potention on the filed of battle in the NFL. I for one think no NFL owner in his right mind would EVER want Michael Vick as his leader and representative of his organization.

Yes ban the loser for life! He admitted committing a heinous crime and the fact it isn't a 1 time thing and has been going on for years is what makes it worse. He knowingly broke the law for all that time so he needs to be punished to the fullest extent!

Added: This is not a race issue! If this was Payton Manning who did this I would expect the same results. The color of ones skin does not make this any less of a crime! Vick knowlingy broke the law white,black,asian...etc! He is a human being who bleeds red and his action are disgusting! No NFL team in their right mind should ever touch him because of the PR fiasco that would ensue. As I have said do murders and rapist deserve a 2nd chance? NO! And to me this is 1 step below them!

No his punishment is bad enough. He will be in prision a year or two; he will face probably another year long ban after he gets out of prision and he will face the stigma of being Michael Vick the convicted felon should he try to get back on a NFL Roster.

That is pretty much a NFL ban...because its going to be very difficult for him to make a team physically and mentally. If he comes back he probably won't play quarterback. He'll probably have to move to running back. Either that or he can go to the AFL, CFL, or one of these new rumored pro football leagues.

If he admits to gambling on the dog fighting, then that means he violated the NFL player conduct rule against gambling, which is an automatic lifetime ban from the NFL.

Yes I do think he should be banned. And for all of you who are trying to make this a racial thing...I wouldn't care if he was pink with purple polka dots...red, white, yellow...rainbow color...I don't give a rat's *** what color he is. That has not got one thing to do with it. The crime he committed is the subject not his skin color. My opinion would be the same as it is now. I am an animal rescuer so I would be against this no matter who committed this heinous crime against animals.

And as for not doing anything about others who do the dog fighting thing...if you would read the news, they have cracked down on it & have broken up other dog fighting rings. The animal cops have been fighting against this for years now. It is ongoing & will be til it no longer exists. ALL life is important.

A one year suspension, after he is finished with prison.

I'm just sorry for the other Falcons players, who are going to have to endure 8 road games, with every arena speaker blaring: "Who let the dogs out!"

But what's with all of these paranoid blacks who think that the government was out to get him because he was black?
Can you honestly say that Peyton Manning's fall from grace would be any less severe or dramatic if he were the one with a dogfighting ring in rural Mississippi?

no. if some team is stupid enough to want him , let them have him . but the team should have a good lawyer so that they can make all kind of money off of him with vick getting little or nothing and a portion going to charity (aspca in the name of the team and nfl)

Not at all, why should he be banned? because he is a black male (making more money than 77% of america?) quarterback with exceptional ammount talent? People need to get over themselves. Ok he made a mistake (theres no excuse for being stupid) but to ban a man from his profession is just plain insanity! Especally when this crime is a major money making operation. If the feds and PETA tree huggers were so serious about this crime they would actually have a crackdown on dog fighting, not just let the sun go down on this controversial issue just because a fameous black man has been taken down!

no not at all. Vick will sit down for his crime. Thats punishment enough.

Is Martha Stewart still a role model? How about the "Big Wigs" from Enron should they be allowed to hold shares in anothe company? Should Paris Hilton be allowed to drive again or play in another movie?

He will pay for his mistakes, and be released with a second chance. Isn't that what jail is for to earn a second chance
